Tom Anton is former resident of Shreveport, Louisiana. Anton is a feature film director and the founder of the Louisiana based RiverDream Productions, that Tom and Jim Davis established in 2005 to develop, produce and distribute quality feature films. Anton and Sandi Russell, his wife, as well as his producing and writing partner, currently have five feature scripts in various stages of development/production. Tom Anton's first film, AT LAST, was based on Tom and Sandi's true to life love story. Anton and his partner, Jim Davis (who served as Executive Producer on the film), secured the financing for AT LAST and it was filmed on location in New Orleans. AT LAST stars Martin Donovan (Saved!, Insomnia, Opposite of Sex) and Kelly Lynch (The Jacket, Charlie's Angels, Drugstore Cowboy, Roadhouse). Roberto Schaefer was the Director of Photography. The film is scheduled for theatrical release in November 2005 by the New York distribution company, Panorama Entertainment, in association with RiverDream Productions. Anton attended Louisiana State University from 1971 through 1975 and majored in Finance and Psychology, with a minor in Marketing. After college, Anton started an energy consulting business to the oil and gas industry in Shreveport, Louisiana, which specialized in the marketing and distribution of oil and gas products. Anton sold his business in 1994 to pursue his dream of directing and producing feature films. Towards that end, Anton studied at the Maine Photographic Workshop and took classes in directing and working with cinematographers through 1998. Anton also attended various seminars in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Detroit, and Dallas to develop his screenwriting and directing skills. Anton co-founded a number of regional theatre companies where he directed and produced such plays as Neil Simon's God's Favorite, The Odd Couple, Chapter Two and Bernard Slade's Same Time Next Year, Romantic Comedy and Tribute, to name a few. This directing experience proved invaluable for Anton in all aspects of production including casting, costume, lighting, set design and directing. Tom's great respect and admiration for the actor as a creative force and one who honors both the actor's process and contributions to any production, theatre or film, make him truly an actor's director. Anton is the father of two children, Luke and Katherine, and he resides in New Orleans with his wife, Sandi Russell. His daughter, Katherine ''Kat'' Anton, attended St. Mark's Catherdral School in Shreveport through 1994.
