A. Chandler Warren, Jr. has been practicing entertainment law for more than twenty-five years. He is licensed to practice law in New York and California and has offices in New York and Los Angeles. After three years with the Wall Street firm of Lord, Day & Lord, he began his career in the entertainment business as Assistant General Counsel of Young & Rubicam, Inc., a major advertising agency, in New York where he was responsible for network television negotiations on major nighttime television programming for the firm's clients and was also general counsel for the daytime serials, As The World Turns and Another World, with responsibilities for negotiating facilities agreements, production agreements and all talent contracts, including directors, writers and actors. After leaving Young & Rubicam, Inc., he began his own firm where he continued representation of directors, writers and producers in motion pictures and television and was the general counsel for over fifty low-budget feature films produced in and around New York. In the past few years, he represented Cannon Pictures as both production counsel and business affairs director in connection with the Chuck Norris television series Walker - Texas Ranger. He and/or his firms (Warren, Alpert & Beigelman and Warren & Rappaport) have recently represented over fifteen independent features, including, among others, Slingblade (Billy Bob Thornton), Election (Matthew Broderick) and Hugo Pool (Sean Penn, Robert Downey, Jr.).
